Job Title: Manager of Digital Content
Job Description/Requisition Details: Supervise and schedule the local editorial team. Coordinate with New Directors on website strategy and tactics. Collaborate with the National Editorial and Operations teams on overall editorial site strategies. Set and Manage the local Editorial calendars for News, Politics, Lifestyle and Sports. Collaborate with Revenue Teams on Content strategies and execution. Manage and Drive local CBS Branded Social Media Accounts and provide leadership to the Social Media efforts of the broadcast platforms. Track engagement metrics for Programming guidance. Work with local marketing and programming teams to increase user awareness of the sites and site initiatives. Cultivate, negotiate and maintain local editorial relationships and blogger pools. Accountable for achieving site traffic goals.
Qualifications: The selected candidate must exhibit strong leadership skills. Will be responsible for supervising the local digital team's daily operations. Emphasis on growing www.wjz.com, particularly video views. Expertise in social media showcasing unique news content and programming digital platform in a manner similar to CBSN. Develop plan to maximize users by posting local news and lifestyle material, developing original content, administering contests and promotions, setting and managing of editorial calendar and coordination with the local revenue team. We are seeking a leader with a proven track record with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Required: A minimum of five years Web management experience required. Knowledge and passion for local news, sports and politics. Demonstrate News judgment and high editorial standards. Social Media knowledge and practice. Knowledge of Word Press, Photoshop and a working knowledge of HTML.
