Job Title: Web Producer
Job Description/Requisition Details: Responsible for executing and managing digital strategy to maximize user engagement across multiple platforms. Ability to make independent editorial decisions on writing, producing and showcasing news content consistent with station philosophy and brand objective. Respond quickly and effectively to breaking news across all platforms. Assign reporters to generate update, fresh content, video and pictures for digital platforms. Ability to multi-task, communicate and coordinate with on-air television assignment editors and producers. Must be a self-starter who can work independently to achieve digital goals. Ability to write and edit scripts and video is important. Candidates with basic video editing and graphic design experience preferred.
Qualifications: Required:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
At least two years of news experience as well as experience in digital and social media. Strong writing and editing skills. Must understand newsroom operations.
HTML, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Word Press and Social Media Platforms. (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google Plus, etc.
