| Jobdescription | Notice of Open Position: Photographer II The photographer will capture and edit visual content and audio material to create compelling stories for WMAR-TV’s lifestyle show as well as complete daily editing for multiple platforms. Will also be responsible for operating various content gathering equipment including but not limited to microwave live truck, video camera and video editing equipment. Key Activities: • Capture and edit visual content for multiple platforms. • Work closely with staff of lifestyle program as well as clients to create, develop and edit stories. • Responsible for operating various content gathering equipment including but not limited to microwave live truck, video camera and video editing equipment. • Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws. • Drive company vehicle for business purposes. • Utilize graphics software packages for enhanced editing and appealing visual content. • Knowledge of and proficiency in posting content to station’s web sites. • Will occasionally appear on lifestyle program when conducting taped interview or narration. • Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience: • 2+ years experience as a photographer/editor preferred. Skills & Abilities: • Proficiency with lighting and advanced computer based editing, including Final Cut 10, Photoshop and AfterEffects. • Demonstrated ability to shoot and edit high quality stories under deadline pressure. • Proficiency with lighting and computer based editing. • Proficiency with live microwave truck operation. • Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws. • Knowledge and proficiency in posting content to station’s web sites. • Able to work efficiently under multiple deadliness on a daily basis. Work Environment: • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required. |
