POSITION: News Technician
AVAILABILITY: A.S.A.P.
EDUCATION: High School or Equivalent
College degree or AA degree preferred
QUALIFICATIONS: 3 to 5 years at a TV station- shooting and editing News in the field. Skilled at operating ENG Vans and DSNG Satellite Trucks.
DUTIES: Primary duties are in the field gathering News. Duties to include News Photographer, Non-linear Editing, ENG Microwave Truck Operation and DSNG Satellite Truck Operation. Ability to shoot from helicopter desirable.
MACHINES TO OPERATE:
Sony PMW-350 HD camera and related equipment. Grass Valley Aurora and Edius non-linear editing equipment. Digital ENG microwave transmission equipment, Satellite uplink and various other equipment used in remote News gathering. Ability to operate Flir gyro-stabilized camera and related equipment in helicopter a plus.
