WTOP, WRC-TV/Washington To Partner For News Coverage

NBC owned-and-operated WRC-TV (NBC4)/WASHINGTON and crosstown HUBBARD News WTOP are entering a news partnership that starts MARCH 25th. Under the deal, the stations will combine resources to cover news, weather, and traffic on multiple platforms, including breaking news coverage "in a collaborative way that is unprecedented in the WASHINGTON region," according to a press release. Reporters from each station will appear on the other's newscasts, and NBC4's "Storm Team 4" meteorologists will provide forecasts every ten minutes on the eights on WTOP.

NBC4 President/GM JACKIE BRADFORD said, “The combined forces of two dynamic, cutting edge newsrooms working together on all platforms will be powerful. This partnership will serve people throughout the WASHINGTON area well by delivering them the most up-to-date local news, information and weather.”
