POSITION: Digital Content Director
TYPE: Full Time
HOURS: 8:00am – 6:00pm, Monday - Friday
LOCATION: WBTV, Raycom CBS in Charlotte, NC
DETAILS: WBTV News is looking for a Digital Content Director to manage digital media on WBTV.com, In Your Community web sites, mobile applications and other digital media platforms. The winning candidate will have strong leadership skills and will have experience in managing a team of journalists. Primary duties include managing local broadcast content for digital platforms, producing and managing digital exclusive content, training and mentoring of content department contributors, participating in editorial meetings with focus on the digital aspects of storytelling along with managing digital content staff, including recruitment.
Technical requirements for this position include: Thorough knowledge and competency of key publishing platforms (World Now, DataSphere, and others) plus competency in basic HTML/CSS, image editing and optimization, FTP, basic SEO techniques and journalistic writing standards.
